BAKU.03.12.2004. MEDIA-PRESS: Greece has appointed new Ambassador in Azerbaijan. As the agency "Interfax-Azerbaijan" has been informed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic, the new Ambassador Temistokles Dimidis was born in 1948, graduated from law faculty of the University of Athens.
He started his diplomatic carrier still in 1980 in the MFA of Greece. He has worked the first and second Secretary of the Embassy of Greece in Bonn, the General Chancellor of Greece in Jerusalem, the Director of Department of Greece on the Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The Present Ambassador of Greece in Baku Mr. Merkurios Karafotias leaves the republic in the beginning of 2005 in connection with completion of diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan. It has been appointed Ambassador of Greece in Iran
