BAKU.03.12.2004. MEDIA-PRESS: The President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliev will visit officially Iran in the end of January of 2005. "Main hopes on this visit are associated with taking more serious measures in development of bilateral cooperation and signing of full agreements", - the Ambassador of Iran in Baku Mr. Afshar Suleymani has said.
By his words, the forthcoming visit of the President of Azerbaijan "has great importance from several points of view". First of all this is the first visit of Mr. I. Aliev to Iran. By my opinion, it will give new stimulus for development of the Azerbaijan-Iran relations", - Mr. A. Suleymani has said.
The diplomat has said that to date work on projects of documents to be signed after negotiations of leaders of the countries is gone.
Totally signing of 7 - 8 documents including political declaration, pack of economic documents concerning different projects in Azerbaijan and financed by the Iran side, agreement on cooperation in the scientific and cultural fields is expected.
Mr. A. Suleymani has declared that the Iran-Azerbaijan relations are still close and will develop further in spite of confirmations of some forces that the territory of Azerbaijan may by used for foreign military bases. "There is not troubles of the Iranian side on this issue as Azerbaijan has always declared that "the third force will not come here", - the Ambassador has said and emphasized that he has received analogous confirmations from the Azerbaijan authorities.
Moreover, Mr. A. Suleymani has called important in this issue recent acceptance in Azerbaijan the conception of the National safety, in which it is said about inadmissibility of placing military bases of other states here.
