BAKU.03.12.2004. MEDIA-PRESS: The Marketing and Economic Operations Department of the SOCAR has exported 77.686 thou tons of oil products.
As Media-Press has been informed in the SOCAR, diesel fuel and motor spirit have made major share within structure of export. 29.76 thou tons and 34.13 thou tons of them correspondingly have been delivered. 2.852 thou tons of aircraft kerosene, 2.111 thou tons of butane, 7.826 thou tons of koke have been exported. The furnace fuel was not exported on November.
Totally 847.44 thou tons of oil products have been exported since the beginning of the year. The Azerbaijan diesel fuel is of the great diesel demand. Since the beginning of the year 377.059 thou tons of it were exported that is almost above one third of all oil products exported.
On November the SOCAR exported 136.404 thou tons by the pipeline Baku-Novorossisk. And 2.392 MM tons were produced for 11 months.
We shall remind that in the current year volumes of pumping by this route will stay on almost former level and make 2.5 MM tons. Tariff on pumping of the Azerbaijan oil by "northern" route makes $15.67 per ton. (For comparison: tariff for transit of the Azerbaijan oil via the pipeline Baku - Supsa makes 2.7 per ton).
The pipeline Baku - Novorossisk has been put into operation on October 25, 1997. According to the intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Azerbaijan concluded on January of 1999 it is automatically prolonged every year if one the sides does not inform the other side about intension of stopping its validity before half a year up to its date of expiry. Every five years the sides may introduce changes into agreement by mutual agreement.
