THE SOCAR ANNOUNCED TH TENDER ON THE SALES OF THE FIST FEBRUARY OIL PARTY
Totally 210 thou tons of oil would be transported by pipeline Baku - Novorossiisk in accordance of the plans of the SOCAR and it corresponds to the January rates. The French Total S. A. and Swiss Glencore have purchased two January oil parties.
In the current year the SOCAR would pump 2.5MM tons of oil by the route Baku - Novorossiisk, that is the same amount as in the past year.

"For several years we conducted the negotiations with the companies including ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco, ABB, Shell,. Oils of these companies now sold on the market of the country as before and there is not especial demand in them. The cost of the construction of the block is enough high - $280 - 300 MM. So we have stopped the negotiations for the present", - the director has explained.
He has noted that the in the present year the enterprise stirs up the works on the construction of the oil products hydrocleaning installation. "Since 2005 Europe would provide the new ecological demands to the given sort of the production. As a result our products would not be sold. We want to adjust the production in accordance with the modern standarts", - he has said.
By his words the decision on the construction of the installation would be accepted in the beginning of the year as it is expected. "The cost of the installation varies within the ranges of $85 MM up to $100 MM in dependence from supplementary equipment collection", - the director has added.
The OPP "Azerneftyag" as well the OPP "Azernftyanajag" enters in the structure of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. "Azerneftyag" is specialized on the issue of the lubricating oils and other sorts of the oil products (kerosene, mazut, aircraft fuel and others). The second plant is specialized on the issue of light fractions (car benzene, aircraft kerosene and others).
The both enterprises may process 22 MM tons of oil for a year, however in the last years they works hardly by a third part of the capacity.

The officials of the port determined that it is associated with the delay in the Bosphorus strait , through which the navigation is limited at the present time.
